2Tarangire National Park

Drive south to Tarangire National Park, where the Tarangire River draws one of Africa's largest concentrations of elephants in the dry season. Enormous baobab trees dot the landscape, and the riverine woodland hides leopards, impala, and hundreds of bird species.

3Ngorongoro Crater and into the Ndutu Area

Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive with the Big Five. In the afternoon, continue to the Ndutu area on the southern edge of the Serengeti — prime calving territory between January and March, when roughly eight thousand wildebeest calves are born every single day.

4South Serengeti — Calving Season

Full day in the Ndutu area during the calving season. The plains become a nursery and a hunting ground simultaneously. Lions, cheetahs, and hyenas move through the newborn herds with brutal efficiency. The scale of life and death playing out across the short-grass plains is overwhelming.

5South Serengeti — Predators and Plains

Another full day tracking predator activity around the wildebeest calving grounds. Cheetahs with their own cubs, lion coalitions coordinating hunts, and wild dogs racing across the open ground. The Ndutu woodland provides contrast — birdsong and shade between the intensity.

6Ndutu to Central Serengeti

Morning game drive in Ndutu, then drive north through the central Serengeti. The landscape opens into the iconic rolling plains of Seronera, where year-round water supports resident big cat populations and the famous tree-climbing lions of the kopjes.
